Loki slowly reaches over to tap the little X that is revealed once Stark lifts his thumb away, and says, "I found it."

So it’s simple, Tony tells himself: trust the war, not the god.
It should have been simple. It was doomed to be anything but, because infatuation has no place in a war-zone, but Tony is prone to impropriety at all sorts of slightly impractical times, or he wouldn’t have wound up with the god of lies in his bed so frequently in the first place. Practicality and safe-distance plans are all going wrong, and Tony likes it too much to stop.

A story of ugliness and beauty, inside and out - and learning what the word ‘monster’ really means. Through understanding, trust, honesty and bravery, two damaged souls might yet find their place in the world.

It all started, so far as Peter Parker could tell, with the Avengers not quite being able to keep track of some of their imported-from-off-earth super-villains.
Eventually this will become a play on smartass family where Peter gets closer to Loki before he gets close to Tony.

Nick Fury will do anything to save his world when the Kaiju come, including recruiting the bad guys. What's one annoying God of Chaos compared to world destroying giant dinosaur monsters? Tony blows the mind of anyone who shares a Jaeger with him, but he's willing to use Loki to get any advantage he can for his robots. Loki just wants to feed his squirrels in peace - but maybe, just a little bit, he needs to find some purpose and once again fight to protect a world, be a hero again, as he was for a thousand years before he found out the truth.
